MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

North was left in a box at a vet clinic in Lethbridge and brought to the Humane Society by the kind veterinarians. He is a sweet, gentle boy, and good company. North is quite independent, but likes people, and is lovely to have around. He’s quiet and well-behaved, loves to nap and explore!

If you are interested in meeting North, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-3208991). To view other Haven pets, go to www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook.

Lily is approximately five years old and came to Purrfect Endings Rescue in early November. She was being fed by some kind people at their shop in Coaldale. She was extremely fearful and the people were very concerned because she was missing most of her right front leg. Lily is in a wonderful foster home now where she is slowly coming around and learning to trust. She has been spayed and her leg assessed. The vet felt that it might have been surgically repaired when she was a kitten and then somehow she became a stray. She is also missing quite a few teeth. Despite everything she has been through Lily is a very sweet cat and we will make sure that from now on she gets all the love and caring she so deserves. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) for more information about Lily. We have a booth at the Big Christmas Farmer’s Market & Tradeshow at Exhibition Park this weekend. We will be there today from ten until five. Please come out and support our rescue efforts. We have some great items for sale and Helix will be on hand to provide lots of purrs. Thank you so much to Jackie and her staff for inviting us back. We appreciate their continued support so much.

Amidala would like to thank everyone for donating to our bottle drive today. All monies go towards paying down our high vet bills and to purchase good food for our cats in rescue. The Last Chance Cat Ranch currently has 123 cats and kittens in rescue in our intake house and foster homes. Please visit us at www.thelastchancecatranch.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lastchancecatrach to find out more about what we do and our available cats for adoption and foster. We cannot do what we do without the support of our community, Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue efforts and to our wonderful Volunteers who care for our cats on a daily basis.

For a two-and-a-half-year-old girlcat, Rika has been through a lot. This pretty spotted brown tabby was rescued as a stray, adopted, then returned to PAW, due to the adopter’s changed circumstances. But she has shown just how well she can rise above adversity by settling down very nicely once more in her former foster home. Previously a rambunctious kitten, Rika is now, as an adult, a little bit calmer — but that doesn’t mean she’s living a sedentary life! She’s curious about everything and loves to explore. If there’s another cat or two about, she won’t complain. She likes people, accepts new friends readily and enjoys a good conversation, especially when being petted and fussed over in the evenings when the day’s fun is done. Would you like to meet this little survivor? Contact the PAW Society at 403-328-6700 or send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. Give delightful little Rika the permanence she so very much deserves.

Gracie is around eight years old. She gets along well with other dogs and does best with cats that are a bit “standoffish.” She likes to snuggle on the couch and car rides. She is quiet and is housetrained. She is timid at first, we think she would do best in a home with kids old enough to understand that they need to give her the time and space she needs. Visit
