The religious community’s bulletin board of activities appears each Saturday in The Herald.

Six O'clock in the Chapel, an evening Vesper service with beautiful music, will be held Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. in Buchanan Chapel at Southminst­er United Church, featuring reflection­s by Rev. James Grunden and music by Chris Dittmann. This brief, intimate service is open to everyone. Enter at the chapel doors, 1011 4 Ave. S.

• Immanuel Lutheran Church will host the annual German language service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the church, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W. While there is no admission charge, the church will take a free will offering in support of Interfaith Food Bank. Refreshmen­ts will follow the service.

• A traditiona­l service of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, 411 11 St. S. Based on the famous service of King's College, Cambridge, the service will feature readings and congregati­onal singing as well as music by Aeris Brass; Monica Baczuk, flute; Sarah Viejou, horn; Wayne Edwards, steel pan; and St Augustine's Handbell Choir. A freewill offering will be taken.

• Christmas Candleligh­t Service, “Lighting Up the World,” will be held

Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Monarch Reformed Church, southwest of Nobleford on Range Road 23-5. Refreshmen­ts to follow. Come and hear the Christmas story. Everyone is welcome.

• Southminst­er United Church offers monthly Labyrinth events. The next session will take place Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m., led by Veriditas-certified facilitato­r Nancy Fabro. It is a perfect time to come away from the hustle and bustle of

• The third annual Festival of Nativities will be held Dec. 14-15 from 19 p.m., Dec. 16 from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Dec. 17 from 2-8 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2410 28 St. S. in Lethbridge. Featuring hundreds of Christmas nativities on indoor display, interactiv­e children’s room with dress-up nativity, puzzles and more. Also three musical concerts featuring local performers, taking place Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 16 at 2 and 7 p.m.

• College Drive Community Church will present “The Story,” a Glee-style musical performanc­e, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at 2710 College Drive S. Free admission; refreshmen­ts to follow the performanc­e.

• The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints will present a Live Nativity Dec. 22, 23 and 24 from 6-8 p.m. at 4105 Forestry Ave. S., featuring free outdoor performanc­es running every 20 minutes.

• “Blessings” will be offered four

• The MCC Thrift Shop, across the street from Save-On Foods. Proceeds from the store go to support poverty reduction projects around the world through Mennonite Central Committee.
