SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY, MAKING A DIFFERENCE

-

The Lethbridge & District Humane Society’s main goal is to find the best possible homes for abandoned and previously owned cats and dogs from Lethbridge and surrounding areas. The society has been a no kill haven since its inception in early 1970. We coordinate over 150 active volunteers each year to help hundreds of cats and dogs, all of whom will be examined by a veterinarian and receive vaccinations, to find immediate shelter, foster care, or a permanent home. The humane society takes pride in educating the public about the proper care of cats and dogs as well as the importance of spay/neuter and proper vet care. We do several school and community group tours throughout the year, and attend various school events. There are many volunteer opportunities within the humane society from cleaning, to answering phones, fundraising, to cat care and dog walking. For information on our volunteer positions please visit us during our office hours to fill out an application and speak with one of our office volunteers. We graciously accept donations which can be made on our website and Facebook page through Canada Helps, or in person during our public hours. We also accept donations by mail. Tax receipts are issued for qualifying donations, please contact us for more information. Phone: 403-320-8991 or Email: pets4you2@hotmail.com We have various fundraising events throughout the year such as Paws in the Pool, Bare Bones Run, Paws and Claus, and many others. These events are organized by both ourselves as well as others in the community. For information on upcoming events please visit us on Facebook or visit our website: www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com
