• Jesus The Christ Church of of Latter-day will present Saints a Live Nativity Dec. 22, 23 and 24 from 6-8 p.m. at 4105 Forestry Ave. S., featuring free outdoor performanc­es running every 20 minutes.

• Galt Museum’s Saturdays at 1:00 hands-on history program for families continues Dec. 23 from 1-2 p.m., featuring “Holiday Cards.” Use archival photos, scrapbook paper and other supplies to make creative cards for the upcoming holidays. Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders.

• West Wind Gymnastics Club offers drop-in fun on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. It’s a great opportunit­y to practise your gymnastic skills in a friendly, supervised environmen­t. Age 5 and under $6 and must be accompanie­d by an adult; 6 and older $12.

• Volunteer Lethbridge will offer another seasonal gift-wrapping service to the community at Park Place Shopping Centre until Dec. 24 during all mall hours. Volunteers will wrap gifts purchased from anywhere. Bring in your individual gifts or staff gifts to wrap. Prices range from $3 to $20 depending on the size of the package. • LSCO 33rd Annual Christmas Turkey Dinner will take place Dec. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Dinner is open to everyone in the community. Rides to the dinner can be booked one week in advance. If you are unable to attend, meals can be delivered to your home with one week advance booking. • South Country Jamboree Society will hold its regular jam session Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. in Memorial Hall at the Lethbridge Legion. Supper may be ordered from Great Plate Catering.

• A Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Celebratio­n originally scheduled for Dec. 31 at the Milk River Civic Centre has been cancelled. • A New Year’s Eve Dance Party will be

held Dec. 31 at the Polish Hall, 745 13 St. N. Cocktails at 6:30 p.m., homemade supper at 7 p.m. Midnight snack and champagne; DJ will be playing a variety of music videos. Tickets $45 per person; for tickets, call Jerry at 403-329-1152. Ticket deadline Dec. 28.

• Italian Canadian Club will host a New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31. Cocktails at 7 p.m., dinner at 8 p.m. featuring an Italian buffet feast. Dance music by the Bamboo Guppies. • Free FoodFit classes will be offered beginning in January at Interfaith Food Bank, 1103 3 Ave. N. Classes will take place Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. or Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. Learn about nutrition cooking and exercise. Childcare available for some sessions. • Native New Health, a DVD program series designed for Native people by Native people, will resume Jan. 3 from 79 p.m. at 408 13 St. N. Each episode has been designed to generate discussion and to assist the viewer in making positive lifestyle choices. This week’s topics are

• The Lethbridge Public Library is holding an FASD, PTSD and ADHD Workshop Jan. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Crossings Branch (255 Britannia Blvd. West). The presentati­on will discuss these mental illnesses, how they affect people, and provide tips and tools that will help you work with those suffering from these disorders. Known as “Yoga for the Brain,” Zentangle Art creates a sense of calm, lowers stress, increases focus and concentrat­ion, increases creativity and problem solving. • The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will visit the Lethbridge Public Library’s Main Branch Jan. 8–13 in the Theatre Gallery. • Minus One is a bereavemen­t support group for younger widowed women in the Lethbridge area. If you have lost your spouse/life partner, Minus One offers understand­ing, encouragem­ent, inspiratio­n, friendship and social gatherings.
