MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Star is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be the light in someone’s life. She came to us from Medicine Hat where she was found and sadly never claimed. This beautiful dove loves people and is very vocal. She needs a home where she can safely spend time outside her cage. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about our sweet Star. We are also on Facebook. Cheddar and Cheeto are waiting patiently for their furever home and you can meet them at Petland. We are always in great need of donations to help with our medical bills, food and other expenses. No amount is too small.

Fergus is a loving, cuddly young cat, born in October 2016. He came to the Humane Society in the fall of 2017 with his two brothers and has begun to settle in to the cat room. He doesn't like to be held or carried around, but does like people and attention. Once he gets to know you a bit, he loves a good belly rub and snuggle! He needs a bit of time to settle in to new situations, but once he does, he's a wonderful cat to have around! If you are interested in meeting Fergus, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). To view other Haven pets, go to

Morrison and his brother Van came to us in the summer from Duck Lake, Montana where they had been abandoned in a rural camping area. Currently in foster, these boys have been waiting patiently for their forever home. Gentle and affectionate, they would settle in happily with other cats and do not mind dogs. You can read more about us by visiting us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lastchancecatranch. As a not-for-profit we rely on fundraising and donations. Stop by Honker’s and support our rescue by participating in their 50/50 draw this afternoon and every weekend in the month of January during their open jam. They have chosen us as their charity of the month. Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue efforts.

This is Buddy, and a better name couldn’t have been given to this eight year old orange tabby. A pal, a friend, that’s exactly what Buddy is. He is currently sharing his home with a senior cat. They hang out together and also play. Buddy enjoys a feline chum. And what about humans? Well, Buddy adores them. Having a person to spend time with is important to him and when visitors come, he will trot up to them and welcome them to his home. At night, he’ll safeguard his human’s sleep by snuggling up close. You see, Buddy was abandoned by his family several years ago when they moved, so he knows how special a bond is. The person who rescued him is now facing a serious health challenge and must find a new best friend for her wonderful cat. Could that be you? Call PAW at 403-328-6700 or send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com to meet Buddy. His name says it all.

Ruby is a sweet little senior (10-plus years). She’s an angel on a leash and doesn’t require much exercise but she sure loves to trot along! She is quiet in the house and her little bumper bed is her favourite sleeping spot. Ruby’s favourite treat is chicken and loves to get her chin scratched. She does fine with other dogs and cats but tends to be indifferent to them. She’ll follow you around the house and yard like a heat seeking missile. She’d love a big comfy bed and a warm place by the fire to spend her retirement years. Visit www.windycityrescue.com or call 403359-3139 for more information.
