Chinook rink crowned league champs
Lethbridge High School Curling League regular-season play drew to a close Tuesday at the Lethbridge Curling Club.
Taking first place was the Terry rink from Chinook, going undefeated this season to earn the championship title.
The Mertz rink, also from Chinook, took second place, while last year’s champions, LCI’s Game of Stones, took third.
Curls for the Girls from Catholic Central placed fourth.
The league consisted of 16 teams from four city high schools.
With league play complete, students will compete with the other city schools for the opportunity to advance to Zones Feb. 13-14, and Provincials March 2-3 in St. Albert at Paul Kane and St. Albert Catholic High.
