Pair face numerous drug, weapons charges
Two Lethbridge people have been charged following a police bust last week at a southside home.
Police seized a shotgun, nearly $8,000 in stolen property and a small quantity of fentanyl in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity in the downtown core.
On Jan. 12 patrol officers, along with members of the downtown policing unit and priority crimes unit, searched a home in the 1200 block of 6 Avenue South. In addition to the shotgun, they seized ammunition, knives, swords, throwing knives, a baton, two airsoft handguns, a small quantity of fentanyl, ID cards, credit cards, a debit terminal, tools, electronics, cellphones, a purse, video games and a 2010 Jeep.
Clement Nolan Black Rabbit, 35, is charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a stolen credit card, possession of stolen property over $5,000, careless use/storage of a firearm, knowingly possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, drug possession, and multiple counts of breaching conditions of a recognizance, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and making/possessing identity documents.
Chantelle Joyce Pantherbone, 28, is charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a stolen credit card, possession of stolen property over $5,000, careless use/storage of a firearm, knowingly possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, drug possession, and multiple counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, and making /possessing identity document.
Both accused made their first court appearances Monday, but had their matters adjourned.
