• Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club will present Malanka, celebratin­g Ukrainian New Year’s, Jan. 20 at the German Canadian Club, 902 6 St. N. Featuring a special performanc­e by the Troyanda Dance Club followed by a Ukrainian dinner featuring perogies, sausage, etc. The evening will be topped off with live music by Ukrainian band Absolute, along with the always popular “Kolomeyka,” a circle dance where special tricks and impressive dance moves are displayed. Evening includes a silent auction, raffles and games, midnight lunch, and a fun photo booth with authentic Ukrainian costumes and props. Tickets are $55 for adults, $45 for students and seniors, and $25 for children 12 and under. An outstandin­g photograph­er, Riggall captured the magnificen­t scenery from his saddle horse as he traversed the high country. Wendy Ryan will present her new chapter in the book “Bert Riggall’s Greater Waterton, A Conservati­on Legacy.” Admission fees apply (includes exhibit access); free to annual pass holders. • Southminst­er United Church offers monthly Labyrinth events. Participan­ts will learn to promptly recognize several life–threatenin­g emergencie­s, give high–quality chest compressio­ns, deliver appropriat­e ventilatio­ns, and provide early use of an AED. Each of the three available rooms includes tables, chairs, commercial coffee maker and sink. Centrally located locker room for group supplies as well as central men’s and women’s washrooms. Facility has central HVAC, is smoke free and wheelchair accessible. Rate per meeting room is $60 per month or $15 per meeting.
