Winter Open House today at college

- J.W. Schnarr LETHBRIDGE HERALD

Lethbridge College is opening its doors for the public to get a better idea of what is available for prospective students.

Today, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Centre Core, the public is invited to take part in an annual Winter Open House. It is an opportunity to learn about programs and services offered by the college as well as a chance to speak directly to faculty and staff.

“There is no better way to learn about a program, its requirements and job prospects than to talk to those who work directly in that area,” Shanda Webber, manager of Recruitment and Indigenous Services stated in a news release.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for prospective students to learn everything they need to know to make the best choice for their education, and we hope that decision leads them to Lethbridge College.”

The event is an opportunity for school students just beginning to explore post-secondary options, graduates ready to launch into new careers, or anyone interested in taking a few classes to supplement their skills.

The event will also offer a number of other areas of interest, including campus and residence tours, and opportunities to learn about student services, including academic and career guidance, financial aid, and student awards, Indigenous services and Kodiaks athletics.

On-the-spot applications will be accepted, and everyone who registers in advance online and checks in at the event will be entered in a draw for a $1,500 tuition credit.
