Man charged in theft of ATV

-

A Calgary man has been charged and an all terrain vehicle recovered thanks to a tip received by the Fort Macleod RCMP.

RCMP received a report about 7:30 a.m. last Saturday of a suspicious person riding through farm fields east of Granum. Officers found a Mahindra side-by-side ATV, which was one of two new 2017 Mahindra ATVs stolen overnight between Feb. 2 and 3 from Nieboer Farm Supplies in Nobleford.

Ryan McPherson, 35, has been charged with possession stolen property over $5,000 in relation to the recovered ATV. The second ATV, a red and black Mahindra MH 750 side-by-side, is still missing. At the time of the theft the ATV had a roof and doors.
