Snow angels among us

-

I am one of hundreds of the non-profit organization of Snow Angels Anonymous. You can see us when we are out “doing our thing.” Just about every one of us enjoy doing what needs to get done for our neighbourhoods to function easier.

This winter, of course, has been more than sufficient for all of us, I am sure. The question I have for the beneficiaries everywhere is — How do you reward your Snow Angel? Many of us don’t need much acknowledgement, don’t need much money, don’t go to fancier restaurants. But can I suggest a few things you can do for your Snow Angel?

How about leaving your gas can full in a safe spot with a note of thanks and ask them to put your gas can back out at the same location empty? Most of us have several gas cans on the go! A gas card would also work, but actually bringing the gas over is much more helpful!

Consider coming out with your own shovel to get the “trimmings” after the bigger machines do the heavy work. Not suggesting just your own house here, but why not follow us around for an hour and help the other five to 10 neighbours out as well? Tim cards, etc., of course, always make it easy.

Are you feeling extra grateful and generous for several years of service? Consider talking with the local snow machine repair place and offer i.e. $100 towards a maintenance check of said machines or get two or three other grateful neighbours together for such an idea.

Huge thanks to my fellow brothers of Snow Angels Anonymous. We are all more appreciated than we realize! I’m thankful for a wife who understands to allow me to own the toys to get it done and encourages me to “go help the neighbours.” She is amazing!
