Wrestlers shine at provincials
The LCI boys and girls wrestling teams earned some podium finishes at the Alberta Schools Athletic Association wrestling provincials last weekend in Medicine Hat.
The LCI men’s and women’s teams each won silver medals in the 3A division thanks to two silver and two bronze medal performances.
Maren Evanson and Justin Bly each won silver medals, while Sophie Strong of LCI and Mason Harris of Chinook were bronze medal winners.
Fellow LCI representatives Callum Hyland and Logan Oliver were fourth and sixth, respectively.
The Taber W.R. Myers Rebels boys and girls teams each placed fifth in the 3A division.
