Hoping FOR A HOME

-

Tiny is a beautiful eight-month-old girl. She’s super fun and sassy and loves toys. Tiny has lots of energy and loves to play and go on walks. She is very smart, eager to please, and loves treats — she’s a dream to train! She gets along great with other dogs and has been having lots of fun with her foster siblings. She loves to follow her mom around the house — and is never far from where she is. She is crated when left alone and she goes in happily and quietly. She is quiet in the house and is a lot of fun to be around. Tiny can be a little timid in new situations or with new people but she warms up very quickly. She is great with kids and has no problems with cats either. Visit www.windycityrescue.com or call 403-359-3139 for more information.

Quinley is with her two littermates in a foster home with the Last Chance Cat Ranch. This is the beginning of the imminent kitten season where we receive calls every day about moms and kittens, abandoned kittens, orphaned kittens. Without more foster homes and funds to care for them, we are limited as to what we can do, Without the support of our community, we are limited as to what we can do. Without the awareness and advocacy needed, we are limited as to what we can do. Please neuter and spay your cats. One unspayed female cat results in over 11,180 cats over five years. Aside from cats, we plead with everyone not to buy bunnies or chicks for Easter gifts ... their lives are very short-lived with 90 per cent dying within a few months due to lack of proper care and abandonment. Visit us on www.facebook.com/lastchancecatranch or www.thelastchancecatranch.com. Thank you to everyone who supports our rescue efforts.

Ricky is a big handsome boy, but terribly shy. He and his brothers were surrendered to the Humane Society when his owners moved. Ricky is taking some time to settle in, and is quite withdrawn. He can be enticed to come out of his kennel for some attention, however. He appears to want the attention, but isn’t trusting the volunteers fully yet. Ricky is going to require patient people to help him settle in, but he’s going to be a lovely cat. Ricky’s adoption fee is $220. He has been neutered, and all of his vaccinations are up to date. Please come in and meet Ricky; he’s looking for someone special! If you are interested in meeting Ricky, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). Is there anything more beautiful than moonlight? The magic of a brilliant evening, the fields and woods turned as bright as day. We don’t exaggerate when we say that you’ll experience some of that with this Moonlight. A little black cat, barely a year old, having survived a dark night, is now shining with hope. She loves people and trusts even strangers. She’ll follow her favourite humans and wait for them to have time for her; then she’ll settle down on a lap for some purring. Oh yes, Moonlight makes noise; if you listen quietly, you’ll hear the joy she feels at being loved. She isn’t worried she’ll be eclipsed by other cats; in fact, a feline pal is just what she likes — someone to play with while her people are at work. She’s just out of kittenhood and now that she is safe, she’s ready to have the fun she missed as a stray. Don’t think that black cats aren’t affectionate and warm; they make their own light, and illuminate the gloomiest of hearts. To spend some time in the moonlight, call Lethbridge PAW Society at 403-328-6700 or send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. Night or day, Moonlight will shine for you.

Martini is approximately five or six years old and came to Purrfect Endings Rescue from Medicine Hat. She has sneezing episodes that are not contagious to other cats. She is on a low dose of prednisolone which seems to be helping. Martini is very affectionate. She does little jumps to show how much she loves being petted. However, she does not have the same love for other felines so she would do best as an only cat. Martini is up for adoption at Petland. Thank you so much to Allan and his staff for supporting our rescue. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about Martini. We have had so many medical bills and our account at Green Acres Animal Hospital is huge. We are always in need of donations to help with vet bills, food and other expenses. No amount is too small. Thank you so much to the individuals who have donated. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
