Game 5, Round 2:

The Lethbridge Hurricanes play Game 5 of their second round series with the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight at the ENMAX Centre. Doors open at 6:00pm, puck drops at 7:00pm.

Split:

The Hurricanes went out on the road and got the much needed road split in Brandon this week. After suffering a 54 loss in Game 3 on Tuesday night, the Hurricanes answered back on Wednesday with a 7-4 victory over the Wheat Kings.

1 Away:

After earning the split on the road, the Hurricanes now hold a 3-1 series advantage on the Wheat Kings. A victory tonight at the ENMAX Centre for the ‘Canes and they will book their ticket to the Eastern Conference Championship Series for the second straight season.

Go Mo Go:

Okay! I know I’ve written about Brad Morrison before, but the guy just keeps giving me reason to. In the two games in Brandon, Morrison continued his torrid pace racking up five points in the two games including two goals in both outings. Morrison leads all scorers in the post-season with 26 points (10g-16a) in just nine games played.

Mattheos Sniping:

Despite being down three games to one, Stelio Mattheos has been pretty good for the Wheat Kings. After going pointless in the first game of the series, Mattheos has been an impact in the three games since having scored in each one. He had a four point effort in Brandon’s victory in Game 3.

50/50 to Humboldt:

The Lethbridge Hurricanes and the Lethbridge Hockey Hounds are proud to announce that they will be donating all the proceeds raised in tonight’s 50/50 draw to the Humboldt Broncos following their tragic accident last Friday. Let’s make this the biggest 50/50 pot Lethbridge has ever seen!!
