• Winston Churchill High School’s 2008 graduating class will hold its 10-year reunion June 16. June 24 inclusive. The tour will cover the Doukhobor Village and Museum in Castlegar, Slocan Valley, New Denver, Sandon, and Kaslo ... all in the West Kootenays. This is a guided study tour and participants will learn a great deal about the internment era during World War Two. • Growing Abilities is a parent support and play group for children with differing abilities. It is open to parents/caregivers and their children with disabilities, as well as siblings and support staff. There will be planned activities based on children’s developmental needs, abilities and interests. There will also be open-ended activities for siblings and space for parents to connect.
