• The Rehoboth Sunshine Auxiliary of Rehoboth Christian Ministries will host their Annual Pork Roast June 15 at the Vocational Centre in Coaldale (1 km north of Coaldale on Hwy. 845). This is a come-and-go supper served from 5–7 p.m. Supper will include roast pork, roast beef, potatoes, salads and dessert. Cost is by donation. Call 403-345-5199 for more informatio­n.

• The World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Sock Hop will take place June 15 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S., in Gym 2. No charge. Participan­ts are encouraged to wear purple. • Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre will host a Father’s Day Luncheon and Fun Pie Auction June 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the centre, 1904 13 Ave. N. Cost: $13 per person. • Lasagna and Live Music will be featured June 15, with two events taking place the same evening at the Barons Community Hall, 209 Noble Street in Barons. Robbin’s Homemade Lasagna Dinner goes from 5-6:30 p.m., also featuring a silent auction and photo booth. $10 per person (children under 6 free). Takeout is available. The event is a fundraiser for Barons Memorial United Church. “Wingin’ It” takes place from 710 p.m., featuring the duo of singer/songwriter Lori Davidson and keyboardis­t/composer Rob Lamonica, who hail from Mazatlan, Mexico. $15 per adult, under 18 free. Bar will be open for refreshmen­ts. Event is a fundraiser for the Barons and District Ag Society. Special combo price for both events: $20 per adult. • Trader Day at Fort Whoop-Up will take place June 15 from 5-9 p.m., featuring period story-telling, axe-throwing for visitors 12 years and older to try out, blacksmith­ing demos, a cow pie frisbee throwing contest with prizes, and live music. $25/ticket, available at the Galt Museum store, Fort Whoop-Up store and online at http://galtmuseum.com/.

• The 18th annual Willow Creek Cowboy Gathering will take place June 15-17 at the Stavely Arena. Live western entertainm­ent Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. followed by campfire jam sessions. Sunday: breakfast from 8:30-10 a.m. ($8 per person); cowboy church at 10 a.m. (no charge). Concession on site (9 a.m.-8 p.m.) with homestyle suppers. • Growing Abilities is a parent support and play group for children with differing abilities. It is open to parents/caregivers and their children with disabiliti­es, as well as siblings and support staff. There will be planned activities based on children’s developmen­tal needs, abilities and interests. There will also be open-ended activities for siblings and space for parents to connect. This group will be facilitate­d by an Early Childhood Educator and a Parent Educator, so one-on-one support is not available to children. Give it a try at Family Centre Downtown on Fridays from 2-3:30 p.m. at #225, 200 4 Ave. S. The program is free but people are asked to register by calling 403-320-4232.

• Celebrate Recovery — a Christ-centred recovery program for any hurt, hang-up and habit, meets Friday nights at Park Meadows Baptist Church, 2011 15 Ave. N. 6 p.m. - supper ($3); 7 p.m. large group; 8 p.m. - open share small groups; 9 p.m. - Solid Rock Cafe. • Nordbridge Bingo welcomes the public (18 and over) for a cash bingo with no surcharges Fridays at 1 p.m. (except holidays) at 1904 13 Ave. N. A regular book is $5, extra games $1 each. • The #RoadtotheG­ames Equipment Drive will kick off June 16 in Lethbridge, taking place from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Centre Village Mall Save On Foods (1240 2 “A” Ave. N.) Rosenau Transport has teamed up with KidSport and Alberta Sport Connection to bring sports equipment to kids across the province. The event aims to fill a 53-foot Rosenau Transport trailer with new and gently used sports equipment to be distribute­d by Comrie’s Sport Equipment Bank. Cash donations will also be accepted. There will be a barbecue lunch for participan­ts.

• Upper Victoria Park Neighbourh­ood Sale & Fair will take place June 16 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at 7 Avenue South east of 15 Street to 18 Street. Featuring community garage sales, food trucks, street performers, chalk artists, musical acts, community groups and a VW Show & Shine. • London Road Annual Family Fair will be held June 16 from 1-4 p.m. in Kinsmen Park (11 Street 9 Avenue South). Free family fun for all the family. Bouncy castles, facepainti­ng, live music by local musicians, puppet shows, traditiona­l games and an “escape room experience.” Low-cost burgers and hotdogs provided by London Road Market; Sweet treats by Urban Grocer. • Investors Group Walk For Alzheimer's fundraiser will take place June 16 at Nicholas Sheran Park in West Lethbridge. • Helen Schuler Nature Centre’s Extreme By Nature program for ages 1115 continues June 16 from 1:30-3:30 p.m., featuring Floodplain Forests. Do you know what makes Lethbridge’s cottonwood forest unique? Join local scientists in exploring our floodplain forest. Call to register: 403-320-3064.

• Concert and Dessert Auction fundraiser will be held June 16 at the Gem of the West Museum in Coaldale (1306 20 Street), featuring musician Cal Toth and auctioneer Dean Oseen. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets $20, available in person from the museum (please purchase in advance; cash or cheque accepted); price includes one drink token.

• Winston Churchill High School’s 2008 graduating class will hold its 10-year reunion June 16. Graduates and their friends and family are invited to attend an afternoon barbecue at Pavan Park, and an evening of libations at Coulee Brew Brewery. • The third annual Helping Families Art Exhibit will take place June 16 at the Galt Museum from 6-9 p.m. A night of food, drinks and discoverin­g artwork in support of families who are struggling to make ends meet as their child battles cancer. • Galt Museum’s Indigenous History Program takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon, exploring Indigenous history through story-telling and hands-on activities. Individual­s and groups are welcome to attend. No registrati­on required. Admission fees apply (free to annual pass holders).

• 55-Plus at Via Church (formerly River of Life) welcomes all to their monthly pot-luck suppers on the third Saturday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at 2820 18 Ave. N.
