Hoping FOR A HOME

MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Norris is a lovely grey youngster, sleek and shiny and always well-groomed! He’s about five or six years old. He came to the Humane Society this past spring and has settled in now, but he likes the security of his own kennel, he doesn’t always want to come out to say hi to visitors. His very favourite thing is to find a sunbeam and to stretch out and soak up the rays! Perhaps that accounts for his shiny coat! Norris prefers his own company and doesn’t interact much with the other cats. He knows he’s very good looking, though, and wouldn’t mind at all if you stopped by to admire him! Norris is looking for a Forever Home where he can lay in the sun and not work too hard! He is neutered, has all of his shots, and is good to go! If you are interested in meeting Norris, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). In addition to meeting with our wonderful volunteers to find out more about our cats and kittens that are available for adoption and enjoy the day! Ziva thinks it is going to be a great day and invites you to contact us to meet her. She is anxiously waiting to have her own home. Read more about us by visiting www.thelastchancecatranch.com

Angel is looking for a home. She’s been searching for a while, and will be looking at Pet Parade (220 12 St. A N.) today from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Angel is a twoyear-old grey and white lady, who appeared one day outside a house and started talking to a cat inside. She must have thought he had it pretty good, because the next day, she followed the cat’s owner home. Friendly and sweet, Angel decided to stay, but only as a foster-cat. You see, as caring and warm as that home is, it’s not hers. Oh, the toys are fun, and the people give her all the attention she could want. But there are other cats there and, though she gets along with them, they remind her that she is just a visitor — a most welcome visitor — but a visitor nonetheless. Angel would fit in almost anywhere; she’s not disturbed by bustle or changes, and she needn’t be an only cat. All she wants is a lasting, loving home with her very own humans. Meet this little dreamer at Pet Parade today, call the PAW Society at 403-328-6700 or even visit our website and send an online inquiry at www.pawsociety.com. Maybe you can give Angel a home to call her own.

Trevor came to Purrfect Endings Rescue as a transfer from another rescue. He was found on a property in very bad shape most likely from being hit by a car. He had a badly infected paw, a fractured leg, injuries to his face and nose as well as a broken canine. Trevor has healed up nicely but he needs his fractured leg x-rayed before he can go up for adoption. Zena, our diabetic cat, needs surgery to close up a nasal fistula and two other cats require dentals. Our account at Green Acres Animal Hospital is the highest it’s ever been and we are desperate for donations to help pay it down. No amount is too small. Ash, a handsome Russian Blue, and Iggy, an adorable orange tabby, are both up for adoption at Petland. Thank you so much to Allan, Jolene and the wonderful staff for their continued support. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-383-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information. We are also on Facebook. Please help us continue to help those with no choice and no voice.

Tracker is a mellow eight-yearold. Tracker gets along people of all ages, other dogs and is a laid-back guy. He’s quiet in the house, can be trusted to be loose and is housetrained. He’s not great off leash, he is interested in little critters like ground squirrels and bunnies. We couldn’t let him off leash to swim in the lake but he is a big fan of water. He will play with other dogs, but he’s pretty lazy. We also have not discovered a toy he’ll play with but we also haven’t found a treat he’ll refuse. He is content to lay on the floor or his bed. He doesn’t jump up on people and is very patient with kids. He does enjoy chasing cats so would be best in a home without them. Visit

www.windycityrescue.com for more information or call 403-359-3139. Adoption fees apply and application forms must be filled out.
