Nature Centre seeking work of young artists

-

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is inviting youth artists to participate in the next community art gallery exhibition called “Inspired by Nature.”

Anyone in Alberta under 18 is invited to express interest and submit work as part of the display, which is being sponsored by Rotary Club of Lethbridge East. Submissions must be inspired by nature and can be art (drawing, painting, sketching, etc), music, photography, videography, or creative writing.

“The Nature Centre’s community art gallery is a fantastic venue for creative expression — we are always seeking artists interested in exhibiting their nature or environmental themed artwork,” said Curtis Goodman, Resource Development Coordinator with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, in a news release.

“Inspired by Nature will be the third youth art gallery exhibition delivered in partnership with Rotary Club of Lethbridge East.”

Prospective participating artists can submit an expression of interest before Aug. 31. This will help gallery organizers plan the exhibition and accommodate all of the entries.

Visit the Nature Centre’s website for more information on how to participate: https://www.lethbridge.ca/Things-To-Do/NatureCentre/Pages/Inspired-byNature.aspx.

The exhibition itself will run Sept. 11 thru Nov. 4. It will feature a mix of indoor and outdoor installations as part of this year’s Art Walk.
