• Galt Historic Railway Park will offer Speeder Rides and Tours July 21, July 28, Aug. 18 and Aug. 25 (weather permitting) from 1-3:30 p.m. $10 per person (children 10 and under free with adult) for a combined tour of the 1890 Internatio­nal Train Station and a ride on the restored speeder motorcar. • West Wind Gymnastics Club offers

• The annual Coutts Centre Arts Festival, hosted by the University of Lethbridge-Faculty of Fine Arts, will take place July 22 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Coutts Centre for Western Canadian Heritage, located just outside of Nanton. The festival includes a Sunday Brunch followed by an afternoon BBQ, live entertainm­ent throughout the day, and various art activities. Admission is by donation. • “Cannon at the Fort” will take place July 22 at Fort Whoop-Up in Indian Battle Park, featuring demonstrat­ions by the South Alberta Horse Artillery and Fort Whoop-Up Black Powder Club. Cannon demonstrat­ions will take place at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Black Powder Club members will demonstrat­e their skills with their firearms at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. There will be guided tours available every hour, wagon rides around the river bottom valley pulled by the fort’s Clydesdale horses starting every half hour, hobby horse racing for children at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and buffalo chip tossing at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Food will be available all afternoon. Visitors can cook bannock on a stick around our fire pit and eat it with local saskatoon berry jam or take advantage of BBQ specials that will be on all day. • Narcotics Anonymous meets Sundays at 7 p.m. at Chinook Meeting Hall, 408 13 St. N. • Alzheimer Café, put on by the Alzheimer Society, Alberta and N.W.T., is held the fourth Monday of each month (except December) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Pemmican Lodge, 102 5 Ave. S.) featuring informatio­n, refreshmen­ts and entertainm­ent.
