• Galt Museum’s popular Summer Cemetery Tours are back. The tour schedule includes: Mountain View Cemetery Aug. 1 and Aug. 14; and St. Patrick’s Cemetery July 31 and

Aug. 15. Each tour runs from 7-8:30 p.m. These tours are suitable for teenagers, adults and seniors. Tickets are $4 per person or $3 for Galt Annual Pass Holders, plus GST. Kootenays, Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. The tour will visit the Doukhobor Village and Museum in Castlegar, Slocan Valley (Lemon Creek, Popoff, Bay Farm, Slocan City), New Denver (home of The Nikkei Memorial Internment Centre), Sandon, and Kaslo. This is a study tour and an internee will be sharing his stories and experience­s on this tour. Cost is $600/person and covers cost of transporta­tion and three nights’ lodging.
