Three arrested after downtown stabbings

Lethbridge Police Service has arrested three adults in connection to a pair of stabbings that occurred in the downtown area Friday afternoon and evening.

At 3:10 p.m. on Friday, police were called to the 300 block of 7 Street South after receiving a report that a male had been stabbed. The male was transporte­d to the Chinook Regional Hospital with serious but non-life threatenin­g injuries.

Just under four hours later, police were called to the 600 block of 3 Avenue South after receiving a report that a male had been stabbed. The male was transporte­d to the Chinook Regional Hospital and treated for his injuries.

The victims in both incidents were targeted. The victims and accused are known to each other.

Keith Leonard Long Time Squirrel, Nicholas Blaine Heavy Runner and Tia Ronel Bare Shin Bone, all of Lethbridge, face charges. Long Time Squirrel, 31, is charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, one count of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of possess offensive weapon dangerous to public.

Heavy Runner, 23, is charged with one count of assault, while Bare Shin Bone, 29, is charged with one count of assault.

The three adults have been remanded and will appear in court in Lethbridge on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
