Canes open preseason tonight

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will enter tonight’s Western Hockey League preseason opener against the Medicine Hat Tigers carrying a total of 37 players.

Remaining forwards on the Hurricanes roster include: Logan Barlage, Jordy Bellerive, Owen Blocker, Jacob Boucher, Noah Boyko, Hayden Clayton, Zach Cox, Dylan Cozens, Nick Dorrington, Jake Elmer, Drew Englot, Adam Hall, Justin Hall, Michael Horon, Keltie Jeri-Leon, Jett Jones, Jadon Joseph, Taylor Ross, Jackson Shepard, Brendan Stafford, and Zack Stringer.

The Hurricanes’ remaining defencemen include: Calen Addison, Joe Arntsen, Alex Cotton, Landon Fuller, Nolan Jones, Tyler Lowe, Igor Merezhko, Danila Palivko, Ty Prefontain­e, Jonah Regier, Matthew Stanley, and Koletrane Wilson.

Canes also have four goaltender­s remaining including Reece Klassen, Akira Schmid, Carl Tetachuk and Bryan Thomson.

The Hurricanes have already released 18 players.

The Canes begin the preseason against the Tigers tonight at the Enmax Centre at 7 p.m. Tickets for the game are available for purchase for $10 at any Gas King location in Lethbridge, the Lethbridge Hurricanes’s office, or at the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Office located at the ATB Centre.

The teams will meet again Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Taber Community Centre.
