• Opioid Informatio­n Sessions, free and open to the public, are continuing at public libraries across southern Alberta. The schedule includes: Oct. 3, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Pincher Creek Municipal Library;

Oct. 11, 7-8 p.m. at Taber Public Library. The sessions will be followed by a half hour of optional Naloxone training for those interested. • Galt Museum’s Daytime Galt Workshops program continues Oct. 3 from 10:30 a.m.-noon with “Napkin Rings.” Discover the origins of Thanksgivi­ng while painting a set of napkin rings. • University of Lethbridge will present the Common Book Project launch — School of Liberal Education, Oct. 3, 5-6 p.m. at AH100, Andy’s Place, Anderson Hall. “The Education of Augie Merasty,” a national bestseller, is the story of a child who was taken from his family and sent to a residentia­l school where he was taught, along with thousands of other Indigenous children, to be ashamed of his heritage and where he often experience­d physical and sexual abuse.
