The Galt Museum and Archives is inviting everyone out to put on their dancing boots to help bring students to experience southern Alberta history and cultures.

On Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. the friends of the Galt Museum are hosting their popular, familyfriendly fundraiser, the Friends Harvest Barn Dance, which will feature the talents of the Great Canadian Barn Dance Band.

“The Great Canadian Barn Dance Band is heading for Lethbridge for an ‘Out of Barn’ experience,” says Trevor Kunkel, manager of the Great Canadian Barn Dance. “We are so excited to be back at the Galt museum to help co-host and play some great music for this terrific fundraiser.”

This event is a fundraiser that helps teachers and students attend the Galt and help them take advantage of all of the excellent educational programs they offer.

“The Great Canadian Barn Dance Band always puts on a great family event,” says Glenn Coulter, president of the Friends of the Galt Museum & Archives. “The proceeds from this event will again benefit youth educational programming at the Galt.”

Tickets for the event are $30 for adults, $20 for youth aged 11-17, and children under 10 are welcome to attend and dance for free with their parents. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the Galt, by calling the from desk at 403.320.3954, or online at galtmuseum.com.
