Dog whistle politics and GHGs

Trudeau wants you to believe that Canada’s 1.4 per cent total greenhouse gases is the tipping point for the planet. His purpose in life is to try to make you believe that our 1.4 per cent GHGs are vastly more important than the 98.6 per cent emitted by the rest of the world, which would be amusing if it was not so infuriating!

So let me predict what will happen to the planet when Canada hits zero: Nothing! The reason is simple. If they dropped the rhetoric and used Canada’s present carbon offsets, Canada’s entire GHG contribution is already zero and would ruin a perfectly good “dog whistle” for Trudeau to control Canada’s perception of itself!

So what is the value of a carbon tax? Simple, really. Companies that “pollute,” that do not want to participate in Trudeau’s dog whistle (TDG) will take the opportunity to close their industries and move to India, China or some Third World country. Everything you buy from this point onward will escalate significantly faster than you have ever seen before. An example: gasoline is hitting highest prices while crude is hitting its lowest.

So, the carbon tax only creates the environment for oil companies and other polluters to more than offset their carbon tax costs per tonne to you. That’s why oil companies approve of the carbon tax. So watch as companies who pollute who cannot afford to retrofit tire of the TDG and move elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the planet’s 98.6 per cent GHG emitters will continue to ignore CO2, garner the polluter businesses, and the planet supposedly croaks anyway. So, ultimately, this only destroys your wallet! Why? One reason: Trudeau can pretend to care for the planet and garner a world stage job for the alarmist diatribe of Canada’s “planet-destroying 1.4 per cent.”
