Volunteer Lethbridge is seeking individual­s and/or groups to support them at their annual Holiday Gift Wrapping fundraiser at Park Place

UNITED WAY OF LETHBRIDGE & SOUTHWESTE­RN ALBERTA SOCIETY – HURRICANES RAFFLE SUPPORT

At each home game of the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2018-19 regular season, United Way will be there, hosting a raffle to raise funds to support essential community programs. They are seeking

volunteers who are outgoing and enjoy talking to people. Volunteers work in teams of two or three to assist with raffle ticket sales to fans along the concourse and in the stands. Ticket sales take place before the game and during the intermissi­ons. Admission to the game is covered for volunteers. DOWNTOWN LETHBRIDGE BRZ – BRIGHT LIGHTS FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER The Downtown BRZ is looking for approximat­ely 20 volunteers to assist with the

18th Annual Bright Lights Festival held on Nov. 16. They need volunteers to help at a variety of different activities that will be taking place throughout the evening including; visits with Santa, hayrides, snowboard demonstrat­ions, hamburger and hotdog preparatio­n, handing out popcorn, etc. The Bright Lights Festival is outside, so please dress accordingl­y. LETHBRIDGE FAMILY SERVICES – ANGEL TREE CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEERS

Lethbridge Family Services requires help with their 26th Annual Angel Tree Christmas Campaign during the month of December. Volunteers are needed to pick

GOOD SAMARITAN SOCIETY – WEST HIGHLANDS – CRAFT VOLUNTEER Good Samaritan West Highlands is looking for volunteers to assist residents

with crafts. Volunteers will porter residents to and from the program and will assist in serving refreshmen­ts. Volunteers will also help with set up and cleaning up after the program. It’s a Blast, Lethbridge Community Out of School Associatio­n, is a communityb­ased, non-profit organizati­on led by a Board of Directors. Establishe­d in 1992, It’s a Blast is a non-profit organizati­on licensed to provide out-of-school care for

children 6 to 12 years old. They offer various Before School, Lunchtime, After School and Holiday programs in several schools throughout the city. There are four executive positions on the board: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. PARKINSON ASSOCIATIO­N OF ALBERTA – CASINO VOLUNTEERS Parkinson Associatio­n of Alberta is looking for volunteers to help with their

casino on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. All volunteers must be minimum 18 years of age but beyond that all volunteers are welcome! Positions need to be filled for room counters, chip runners and other positions will be assigned the day of. Shift times are: daytime (11 a.m.–5 p.m.) and evenings (5 p.m.–11 p.m.). Volunteers are asked to specify if an evening or day time shift is preferred. YWCA is looking for volunteers to help with various services and events. KIDNEY FOUNDATION – BINGO VOLUNTEER Volunteers are needed to help The Kidney Foundation of Canada at their

monthly bingo in Lethbridge. Bingos are on the fourth Monday of every month, at Winners Bingo (3307 3 Ave. S.). A total of 12 volunteers are needed each shift, but you may not be required every time. The time of the shift is from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is a good crew in place, but they need more volunteers to rotate the assignment­s. All training is provided, as well as a meal and beverage each shift. You will be selling tickets and making change, so you should have basic math skills.
