• Gem of the West Museum in Coaldale will host the Biegel Family in concert Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Donations appreciate­d. The museum is located at 1306 20 St. • Helen Schuler Nature Centre will offer Extreme by Nature, featuring “Archery,” Nov. 9 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for ages 11-15. Join staff from Lane Archery and learn how to properly shoot a bow. Cost $5. Space is limited; call 403320-3064 to register.

• The 97th annual Fall Bazaar of the Monarch Reformed Church will be held

Nov. 9 from 6-9 p.m. at the church, with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and a live auction to follow. For more details, call the church at 403-359-0528.

• Growing Abilities is a parent support and play group for children with differing abilities. It is open to parents/caregivers and their children with disabiliti­es, as well as siblings and support staff. There will be planned activities based on children’s developmen­tal needs, abilities and interests. There will also be open-ended activities for siblings and space for parents to connect. This group will be facilitate­d by an Early Childhood Educator and a Parent Educator, so one-onone support is not available to children. Give it a try at Family Centre Downtown on Fridays from 23:30 p.m. at #225, 200 4 Ave. S. The program is free but people are asked to register by calling 403-320-4232. • TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a non-profit organizati­on which provides support to people wanting to lose weight, meets regularly in Lethbridge and area. • The Senior Club in Raymond is looking for new members. Cost to join is $17. The centre is open six days a week from 2:30-4:30 p.m.; there is a game room with two pool tables, darts and cards. Potluck is held the second

Monday (cost $3 if you bring food or are a member). Rook is played every Friday at 3 p.m. A social supper is held the

fourth Thursday (cost $8). Music provided at meals. Some of these include dinners with entertainm­ent, attending musicals and tours of local museums. The associatio­n also runs a bowling league which takes place weekly at the Holiday Bowl. • University of Lethbridge Drama Department will present “She Kills Monsters,” a comedic romp in the world of fantasy and role-playing games, continuing Nov. 9-10 at 7:30 p.m. at the University Theatre. The play tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home following the death of her teenage sister. When Agnes finds her sister’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. • The PAW Society will hold an all-day event at Centre Village Mall Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the main concourse. Though the society hosts a table at this venue once a month, this event will feature all kinds of PAW giftware and PAWPrints coffee. • Helen Schuler Nature Centre will present “Big Bird Little Bird,” a Fall Special program, Nov. 14 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.-noon. Children and adults will discover all that the river valley has to offer through activities, crafts and games.
