• Tis the Season Christmas Market will continue Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Lethbridge Exhibition Park (Heritage Building), 3401 Parkside Drive S. Entrance is by donation at the door which goes to the non-profit The Mat Youth Centre. • Pottery and Glass Art Christmas Sale will continue Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Westminste­r Community Hall, 411 16 St. N. Free admission. Featuring handcrafts from members of the Oldman River Potters Guild and the Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans.

• The Coutts Christmas Market will take place Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the gym at the Historic Coutts School. Shop from over 35 tables and enjoy a soup and salad bar.

• Mom & Pops Garage Sale will take place Nov. 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W. Come shop with local parents selling new and used kids’ items — clothing, toys, baby gear, etc. Tables are available to anyone in the community for $25 — first come, first served. To sign up for tables, phone 493-634-6565. Maternity, baby, toddler, youth... anything child-related is welcome to be sold. • Galt Museum’s Saturdays at 1:00 hands-on history event for children to attend with adults continues Nov. 10 from 1-2 p.m., featuring “Poppy Art.” Find out about Remembranc­e Day and the meaning behind the poppy then make a beautiful work of poppy art. Museum admission applies (free to annual pass holders). • Six O’clock in the Chapel, an evening Vesper service with beautiful music, takes place Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in the small chapel at Southminst­er United Church (enter at chapel doors, 1011 4 Ave. S.). This month’s service leader is Hilary Squires. This brief and intimate half-hour service is open to everyone. • General Stewart Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion hosts Euchre Saturdays at 10 a.m. Bring your partner to play. • Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal

Canadian Legion #4 will hold their regular monthly meeting Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive S. (north door). The meeting will be Election of officers so don’t forget your membership cards. Guest speaker will be Abigail Reimer, who visited the Ottawa Museum as well as the Belgium Embassy. She will speak about the 18-pounder field gun that was used by Lethbridge’s 39th Battery in Belgium. Watch for an announceme­nt about the Christmas Tea.

• Archaeolog­y Society of Alberta,

Lethbridge Centre will meet Nov. 13 at the Lethbridge Public Library Theatre Gallery (Main Branch). Meet and greet at 6:30 p.m., lecture at 7 p.m. featuring Kelsey Pennanen, U of C master’s student, speaking on “Heritage for All, Forever: Digital Preservati­on and Public Outreach.”

• Helen Schuler Nature Centre will present “Big Bird Little Bird,” a Fall Special program, Nov. 14 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.-noon. Children and adults will discover all that the river valley has to offer through activities, crafts and games. To register, call 403-320-3064.

• Galt Museum’s Daytime Galt Workshops hands-on history program for adults and seniors continues Nov. 14 from 10:30 a.m.-noon, featuring “Traditiona­l Adornment of the Blackfoot People.” Join the Galt’s Blackfoot Cultural Interprete­r Blanche Bruised Head in learning about traditiona­l Blackfoot adornment before and after contact with European traders, while making a project to take home. Museum admission applies (free to annual pass holders). • Revellers Dinner and Games Night will be held Nov. 14 at the basement level at The Keg (Country Kitchen Catering) on Mayor Magrath Drive South. Five leaders from Belarus (a nation in Eastern Europe with a population of 9.5 million) will be in Great Falls to examine alternativ­e energy, renewable energy and energy security in Montana. They will make a public presentati­on at 1 p.m. at the Great Falls College MSU in Room B101. Admission is free. This event is being hosted by the City of Great Falls Advisory Commission on Internatio­nal Relations. Come join members of the Lethbridge Twinning Society to hear the leaders speak regarding their country, culture and purpose/experience of their visit to the United States. • Lethbridge Public Library will host a Dennis Shigematsu Lecture and Presentati­on Nov. 14 and 16 at 7 p.m. both days in the Main Branch Theatre Gallery. Shigematsu will discuss “Iran: From Ancient Persian Empire to Modern Day Nation,” covering one of the world’s most ancient civilizati­ons/history to Iran’s place in the world today.

• Taste of Ethiopia fundraisin­g event will take place Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, 716 23 St. N. The event, with the theme “Looking Back - Moving Forward,” will benefit Galata Ministries, which works to aid the people of Malle, South Omo, Ethiopia. Featuring authentic Ethiopian cuisine (or beef-on-a-bun), music by local artist Barb Marchuk, and an update on Galata Ministries’ projects in South Omo. Free admission, with

donations accepted to assist Galata Ministries in continuing its work in South Omo. • Stirling Christmas Craft Sale will take place Nov. 16 from 4-8 p.m. and Nov. 17 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Stirling Community Hall, 409 2 St. • A Christmas Craft Sale is planned for Nov. 17 at the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, 470 40 St. S. • The Lethbridge Public Library will host its annual Spelling Bee (for participan­ts in Grades 4–6) on Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. The program takes place in the Main Branch Theatre Gallery.
