Edmonton Oil Kings 7:00pm

-

Hurricanes vs. Oil Kings The Lethbridge Hurricanes welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm. It will be the second of six meetings on the season between the ‘Canes and Oil Kings and first of two this week at the ENMAX Centre. Military Appreciation Night: The Hurricanes will hold their annual Military Appreciation Night tonight in honour of those that served and continue to serve our wonderful nation. There will be a special pre-game ceremony prior to the game tonight so it is recommended that fans be in their seats by 6:50pm. Military Themed Jerseys: The Hurricanes will wear a special Military Jersey for tonight’s Military Appreciation Night. The jerseys, which I think are fantastic, will be auctioned off online during and after the game until November 18th. Good Showing: It’s been a week since the start of the CIBC Canada Russia Series, but it’s not too late to bask in the performance of the Hurricanes representatives at the games. Jordy Bellerive, Dylan Cozens and Calen Addison all took part while ‘Canes Head Coach Brent Kisio served as an Assistant Coach. Cozens and Bellerive scored both goals in a 2-1 win one week ago tonight for Team WHL. It was the first time the Hurricanes had three players take part since 2007 when Zach Boychuk, Ben Wright and the late Mitch Fadden took part. Familiarity: Tonight will be the second of six meetings this season between the ‘Canes and the Oil Kings. Edmonton earned a 6-3 win on October 28th at Rogers Place over the Hurricanes in the first meeting. The ‘Canes went 3-2-1- 0 in six games against the Oil Kings last year. Edmonton will be back in Lethbridge this coming Friday for a rematch of tonight’s game. Nice Start: After missing the playoffs for the last four years, the Oil Kings look to be well on their way to claiming a berth in the WHL post-season this season. Granted it’s early and there is a lot of hockey to be played, but the Oil Kings have been pretty impressive in the first quarter of the season. Entering this weekend’s play, Edmonton had a 10-7-1-1 record. They didn’t win 10 games until January 1st of last season, which was their 37th game. Get Yours!: Tickets for tonight’s game are available online at www.enmaxcentre.ca, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre or Yates Ticket Centre’s.
