Southern Accord marks 20 years
Concert Nov. 24 at College Drive Church
Southern Accord Chorus is celebrating a milestone and wants to share it with the public. The Lethbridge-based group, with its unique style of four-part a capella harmony, is marking 20 years since it received its charter from Sweet Adelines International. The occasion is being recognized with a Nov. 24 show, “Heart and Soul,” taking place at 7 p.m. at College Drive Community Church, 2710 College Drive S.
They will be joined by special guests the LCI Singers, directed by Karen Hudson, and the quartet Sass-Eh. Tony Deys will serve as master of ceremonies.
Tickets are $20 per person (with children 12 and under admitted free). Tickets are available at Casa, 230 8 St. S., or from any Southern Accord member.
Southern Accord’s varied repertoire includes ballads, show tunes, jazz, rock and roll, spiritual and classical.
The award-winning group has members from across southern Alberta and the Chorus and Quartet perform regularly throughout the community, offering talent for entertainment at events and charitable functions.
