Supporting Our Community, Making a Difference

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District has been serving children and youth in our community since 1973. Our organization makes a positive difference in the lives of youth by implementing a wide range of mentoring programs. Children and parents come to Big Brothers Big Sisters because they are seeking another positive adult role model in their child’s life. Our organization has seen significant growth over the last few years serving over 500 kids in 2017 and over 600 kids in 2018. So many kids are waiting for a Mentor! We have over 100 children waiting to be matched. Volunteer Mentors are matched with children and they spend time together each week. Matches are made based on compatibility. The main goal of a match is to have fun, and build a friendship. Children are provided with opportunities that they wouldn’t have otherwise. Children and volunteers gain a sense of community, a new friend, and a chance to make a difference. Consider signing up for a Big Brothers Big Sisters program today! You will enjoy going to the movies, kicking a soccer ball, attending a hockey game, making arts and crafts, cooking and baking, or going for a walk in the river bottom, and you will remember what it’s like to be a kid!
