• The Lethbridge Family History Centre has closed for the holiday season and will reopen Jan. 7. The new hours of opening will then be Monday from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.;

• Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organizati­on offers Beginner Pickleball Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and

Fridays from 3-4:50 p.m. at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. A few paddles are available for use. Purchase monthly or day passes at the Administra­tion Desk prior to playing. Fee: $15 for LSCO members, $30 for nonmembers. • The Sounds of the Season concert series has returned to City Hall, bringing holiday music for residents to enjoy. • Stroke Care Partner Support Group

meets second Tuesday of every month (Sept. to May) at 6:50 p.m. at the Lethbridge Seniors Centre Organizati­on, Room B. Anyone who provides any level of care to a stroke survivor is welcome. • Revellers Dinner and Games Night will be held Dec. 12 at the basement level at The Keg (Country Kitchen Catering) on Mayor Magrath Drive. Facility is wheelchair accessible. • “Shakespear­e meets Dickens —a Tudor/Victorian Christmas Celebratio­n,” will take place Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Casa Community Room (230 8 St. S.), including a performanc­e of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” scenes and songs from Shakespear­e, and communal carols. Traditiona­l treats include mincepies, shortbread, eggnog and mulled wine. Audience members are invited to dress in Tudor or Victorian style — even a hat or a long scarf will add to the atmosphere. Food Drive continues until Dec. 24 in aid of food banks across the country, with local Loblaw stores, Real Canadian Superstore, Troy’s No Frills, Simon’s No Frills and Real Canadian Wholesale Club participat­ing. Citizens are encouraged to donate nonperisha­ble food items and funds at checkout.
