LETHBRIDGE YOUTH FOUNDATION/5TH ON 5TH – A TASTE OF LETHBRIDGE SERVER Are you looking to get into the food service industry

but do not have experience? This is an opportunit­y to get food service experience while working an event of over 300 people! A Taste of Lethbridge is 5th on 5th Youth Service’s donor appreciati­on event, which is held on Saturday, May 4 from 4 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. The event wraps up their annual fundraisin­g campaign: Investing in Youth. NEW WEST THEATRE – ROCKERS GONE COUNTRY VOLUNTEERS

Until Feb. 23, New West Theatre is hosting Rockers Gone Country and they are looking for volunteers who can help

Do you like science? Do you like to work with kids? Then the Crossings Branch needs you for Slime-a-Palooza! Slime-a-Palooza runs Feb. 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. At this event you’ll be helping kids who are five and above, and their parents, to make slime and oobleck. Volunteers must arrive at 12:30 p.m. for training and be available until 3:30 p.m. to help with cleanup. This opportunit­y is open to teens in grades 7-12. YWCA LETHBRIDGE & DISTRICT – YWISE GUYS

YWise Guys is a program that focuses on providing a safe place for young men to talk about and work through some of the challenges that they face in day-to-day life. Volunteers will talk through and help young men to understand

how to live a healthy lifestyle through: healthy expression­s of emotion, an understand­ing of how to be a proactive member of a community, and how to view themselves in a positive way. Volunteers will need to be able to have tough conversati­ons in a loving manner. They must also have a working understand­ing of some of the challenges that are being faced by young men today, as well as a passion to fight against those alongside the young men that are facing them. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS – GROUP MENTOR VOLUNTEERS GAME ON! & GO GIRLS! Remember middle school? Homework, puberty, acne and stress! Help make these formative years a little bit easier

for pre-teens by increasing their resiliency and sharing with them some tools for a healthy lifestyle in mind, body and spirit. The programs BBBS run are Game On! and Go Girls! Activities and lessons are planned, but they are looking for volunteers to facilitate the sessions. Volunteers will go over the lesson plans with an agency caseworker. SPINAL CORD INJURY ASSOCIATIO­N ALBERTA – CASINO FUNDRAISER VOLUNTEERS

On May 21 and 22, Spinal Cord Injury Alberta will be running a Casino Fundraiser at Casino Lethbridge. They will require volunteers for the day (1 p.m.–8 p.m.) and the night (8 p.m.–4 a.m.) shifts. Casino fundraiser­s are a great way to help out a local non-profit agency while having fun and meeting new people. Individual­s and groups are more than welcome to help out.
