MYCITYCARE – VOLUNTEERS FOR PROVIDING ESSENTIAL SERVICES

MyCityCare is an initiative developed by MyVictory Church to resource the community in areas of food and water, housing, clothing, healthcare and social justice, to give people a hand up into a hope filled future. MyCityCare is looking for volunteers for the following: hamper delivery drivers, hamper packing, hygiene kit assembly, clothing hampers, downtown office and food banks support staff, and emergency relief staff for the mobile unit. YWCA LETHBRIDGE & DISTRICT – SEWING MASKS VOLUNTEERS

The YWCA of Lethbridge and District is committed to the enhancemen­t of women’s lives by providing programs and services which empower them, support equality and promote wellness of mind, body and spirit. The YWCA requires masks and they are looking for volunteers to sew them and donate them back to the YWCA. STREETS ALIVE MISSION – SORTING VOLUNTEERS

CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY – EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) RESPONDER

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitari­an organizati­on dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world. They are accepting applicatio­ns for Emergency Response Team (ERT) Responder volunteer

positions in the Disaster Management (DM) department. Reporting to the ERT Supervisor, the ERT Responder will be responsibl­e for various emergency shelter and reception centre response activities in addition to other responsibi­lities related to emergency preparedne­ss.The

(ERT) is activated for responses that exceed Personal Disaster Assistance (PDA) capacity. The incumbent of this position will be assigned to deliver a specific service on site during a response, however, must know how to deliver all services at the ERT level.A Police Checkis required. GREEN ACRES FOUNDATION – GENERAL VOLUNTEERS

Green Acres Foundation is a non-profit housing management body who provides affordable housing and quality services responsive to the needs of clients. Volunteers can send a message to the senior residents at Green Acres

Foundation lodges. Volunteers can choose a specific resident, specific lodge, or send some kind words to all the residents. Seniors are especially at risk of social isolation right now and this is a neat way to remind them that they are loved. Lethbridge Family Services is a highly-accredited, charitable human services organizati­on that improves the well-being and quality of life for individual­s and families in Southweste­rn Alberta. They are looking for volunteers who would help create a more

welcoming and inclusive city by volunteeri­ng as a Conversati­on Circle Partner and engage with newcomers to Canada. Conversati­on Circle Volunteers help newcomers adjust to life in Canada by practicing basic conversati­onal English needed to participat­e in community life, and by sharing informatio­n about resources, community, and culture. SAGE CLAN PATROL – GENERAL VOLUNTEERS

Sage Clan Patrol is looking for volunteers to help connect folks who are homeless/living rough to
