MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

Jerome is a loveable bear of a cat. At about 10 kilograms, this all-grey fellow — he’ll be six years old this summer — is no lightweight, but that doesn’t mean he’s lumbering and clumsy. He loves action: string-toys, objects that fly through the air or run along the floor. If they move, so will he. Best give him his space: he’s a force of nature when charging after a rolling ball. But there’s more to Jerome than thunder and fun. He’s a gentle mancat, too, and he wants lap-time and affection just like the tiniest of kittens — though he’s a bit more insistent on when and where. You see, as big and tough as he is, Jerome is a cat, after all, and longs for a family of his own. He would enjoy being an only-cat, the centre of his human’s attention. Don’t worry; we’re pretty sure that human would be the centre of Jerome’s attention, in return. Call PAW at 403328-6700 or send an inquiry at pawsociety.com to find out more about him. Jerome may be large — but so is his capacity for love.

The Last Chance Cat Ranch has some wonderful cats available for adoption which includes Beanie and her Babies. During COVID-19 we continue to care for cats in rescue with limited access to meeting cats and following safe protocol. You can read about our cats by visiting www.facebook.com/lastchance catranch and www.thelastchancecatranch.com. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our bottle drive today. We did not have one last month due to the pandemic and are now also following strict protocol regarding contact for pick up and drop off.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support what we do.

Prince Adam is a large, strikingly handsome black cat, born in April 2016. He came to the Humane Society in the spring of 2017 as a stray. Prince Adam is very comfortable with people but can play a bit too rough for other cats and small children. He loves to get attention from the volunteers and people visiting the cat room. If you are interested in meeting Prince Adam, you can see him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). Marybeth came to Purrfect Endings

Rescue when she was a tiny, five-week-old, feral kitten. She is now approximately two and a half years old. She is still very scared and will need a special person who has alot of patience and is willing to take things slowly. Marybeth needs the company of another cat. Hopefully, there is someone out there who will be the purrfect match for this sweet girl. Call Linda (403-3819269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about Marybeth. We have so many special-needs cats who require special food and/or medical care. Our bill is very high and we are desperate for donations to help pay it down. No amount is too small. Donations can be made directly to Green Acres Animal Hospital (403 327-8660), by etransfer: sixfurballz@telus.net, or you can also donate the proceeds from bottle recycling to us through Ability Bottle Depot South and North. Thank you so much to those individuals who have donated.

Esteban is a seven-month-old mixed breed dog who loves to hang with his brother Edwin. This shy boy is a bit unsure of things at first but is learning from his foster family just how much fun things can be. He is a handsome boy who would love a furry dog friend in his new home to help him to continue to learn all the great things out there in the big world. He is dog-friendly, cat-friendly and loves kids. Visit

www.windycityrescue.com or call 403-359-3139 for more information.
