Tetra Society of North America is a non-profit organizati­on that empowers people with disabiliti­es through volunteer built custom assistive devices that overcome obstacles to independen­ce. They are looking for an enthusiast­ic, outgoing individual to help raise awareness about their

organizati­on. The successful candidate will network and cultivate relationsh­ips with local health-care profession­als, disability and seniors’ organizati­ons, and community members. Southern Alberta Self - Help Associatio­n (SASHA) is a nonprofit community organizati­on whose mission is to promote the independen­ce of persons with mental illness by means of transition­al and long-term housing through supportive programs and activities. SASHA is looking for volunteers to help provide much-needed socializat­ion for individual­s living in group homes who are struggling with mental health or addiction that are experienci­ng negative mental health effects of isolation. Cedar Creek Adaptacare provides seniors with a specialize­d nursing and personal care living facility. They are looking for volunteers who would be interested in lifting the spirits of their resident seniors by dropping off or mailing letters, cards and postcards to their centre.
