• Taber Christian Women’s Connection, affiliated with RSVP Ministries, will resume when it is safe to do so. Members will be notified before the next gathering.

• Helen Schuler Nature Centre has reopened its indoor exhibits. Open daily 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). To avoid waiting in line, book a date and time for your family’s visit in advance. During the COVID-19 relaunch the Nature Centre will have a maximum of 15 people able to visit the indoor exhibits at one time. For details, phone 403-320-3064 or email hsnc@lethbridge.ca.

• The Read On Adult Literacy & Learning Program is offering no-fee online learning classes including conversati­on, CELPIP, IELTS, and Canadian Citizenshi­p prep classes. For more informatio­n on these free online classes go to www.lethlib.ca/readon.

• A Silver For Silver head-shaving fundraiser is underway, with five NordBridge Seniors Centre members prepared to have their heads shaved if the event raises $10,000 by July 9. All funds raised will go directly to the NordBridge Centre. Donations over $25 will receive a tax receipt. Cheques, credit cards, cash or e-transfers accepted. To donate, call 403-329-3222.

• Community Garage Sale & BBQ will take place June 27 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Italian Canadian Club, 1511 Saint Edward Blvd. N. Lots of housewares and other treasures. Social distancing and safety measures in place. Rent a table to sell your items $10. Donations accepted. Sausage on a bun $4. • The Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge will hold its annual general meeting June 29 at 7 p.m. in the Co-op Community Kitchen at 1103 3 Ave. N. and will observe all AHS recommenda­tions and distancing requiremen­ts. Those who are interested in attending should RSVP by calling 403320-8779. There will be a summary of the year’s activities through an annual report and review of annual financial statements. There are no proposed changes to the bylaws.

• Interfaith Food Bank will celebrate Canada Day with BBQ in A Bag, a fundraisin­g event June 30. In partnershi­p with Mikado Electric and Mocha Local, pre-packed BBQ Meal Kits are available for purchase, with all proceeds to benefit food bank programs and services. The $40 bundle includes everything a family of four would need for a Canada Day cheeseburg­er meal (burgers, buns and all the fixings), sides, tableware and Canada Day decoration­s. All ingredient­s locally sourced. Pre-order, limited quantities available. To order, call the food bank at 403-320-8779. On June 30, packs can be paid for and picked up at Interfaith Food Bank, 1103 3 Ave. N., between 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
