• Helen Schuler Nature Centre has reopened its indoor exhibits. Open daily 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). To avoid waiting in line, book a date and time for your family’s visit in advance. • The Gallery at Casa reopens with the Summer Salon, an unjuried and thematically neutral exhibition running
to Aug. 21. This show was conceived as way to celebrate our entire arts community and bring together the creative individuals who have been creating through this long period of social isolation. Guests can visit the gallery spaces at Casa by appointment only from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday to Friday. In addition to appointment viewings, drop-in viewing is available from 5-8 p.m., Monday to Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays. Numbers will be limited to ensure appropriate physical distancing. Visitors to The Gallery can participate in a social media selfie contest by sharing an image of themselves at Casa with the hashtag #CasaSummerSalon to be entered into a draw for one of two paintings by local artists Aaron Hagan and Beanie Dootjes. Draw will take place Aug. 24.
• Two “Drive-In For Mental Health”
concerts featuring country singer Gord Bamford will take place July 11 at 6 and 9 p.m. at Exhibition Park, sponsored by ATB. Proceeds go to Wood’s Homes and Lethbridge Family Services in support of mental health. Come out and support a good cause and have fun enjoying a concert while respecting COVID regulation.
