Officer injured in training

A Lethbridge Police Officer was injured in a training accident on Tuesday morning. The officer was taken to hospital and is recovering, according to an LPS news release.

The Director of Law Enforcement was notified of the incident and the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been directed to investigate.

Police said further information on this incident will be communicated by ASIRT.
