MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Simba is a good looking orange and white boy, who was born in 2016 and came to the Humane Society in the spring of 2017. Simba likes people a lot, and is very snuggly. He doesn’t like other cats as much as he likes people, and occasionally gets into tussles with his roommates. Mostly he keeps to himself, exploring and visiting the volunteers. If you are interested in meeting Simba, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-320-8991). To view other Haven pets, go to www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook.

It took 10 thousand years for mankind to come up with the idea of sliced bread. Sometimes a great idea stays unthought of for a long time! That’s why Spottie hasn’t been adopted yet. Does he bite? Ha! This grey and white fellow is too happy for that. Is he sick all the time? Hardly; at about 11 years of age, he’s at the peak of health. He hides away from people? Nope; Spottie loves attention and looks forward to play time with humans. He fights with other cats? Guess again; Spottie gets along with feline roommates, and would love a pal to chum around with. Sometimes the best things are overlooked, for no good reason. But there’s always someone smart enough to come up with a great notion, like sliced bread — or adopting Spottie. Are you ready for a brainwave? To meet the best thing since, well, you know, contact the PAW Society at 403-328-6700 or send an inquiry at pawsociety.com. Spottie is a cat whose time has come.

Jafar would love to have his own home. Found as a sick kitten in Chin, he is being cared for and will be neutered soon. We have some wonderful cats and kittens available for adoption. Please visit us at www.facebook.com/lastchancecatranch and www.thelastchancecstranch.com to read about them and what we do. Thank you to everyone who supports us and makes it possible. Come visit us tomorrow at The Hut at Kinsmen Park. We are having our first monthly Bake and Craft Sale since COVID-19. Hours are 11 a.m.3 p.m. You will not be allowed in without a mask and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Marybeth came to Purrfect Endings Rescue when she was a tiny, five-week-old, feral kitten. She is now approximately three years old. She is still very scared and will need a special person who has a lot of patience and is willing to take things slowly. Marybeth needs the company of another cat. Hopefully, there is someone out there who will be the purrfect match for this sweet girl. Call Linda (403-381-9269) or Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue for more information about Marybeth. We have so many special-needs cats who require special food and/or medical care. Our bill is very high and we are desperate for donations to help pay it down. No amount is too small. Donations can be made directly to Green Acres Animal Hospital (403-327-8660), by etransfer: sixfurballz@telus.net or you can also donate the proceeds from bottle recycling to us through Ability Bottle Depot South and North. Thank you so much to those individuals who have donated.
