• Do you, or someone you know, have a gambling problem which is causing havoc in your life and relationships? If so, you’re welcome to attend weekly meetings of Gamblers Anonymous, held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at 408 13 St. N. (front entrance). For more information call 403-3310822.
• Tom Price and band perform every Saturday (weather permitting), with a new time from about 4-6 p.m. on Tom’s driveway at 6 Notre Dame Road W. Everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.
• Mindful Moments is offered every Saturday (except long weekends) from 11 a.m.-noon at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S., featuring a drop-in session based in Mindfulness teachings that combines a short talk with formal group meditation in silence. No experience is necessary. Facilitator: Cheryl Dick. Freewill offering accepted. Official income tax receipts are available upon request.
• Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre will host a Thanksgiving lunch special Oct. 7 and 8 for $10 (dine in only; reserve your spot by calling 403-329-3222). The centre will host a Thanksgiving luncheon for pickup or delivery Oct. 9 for $10. Pre-order by calling 403-329-3222 while spaces last.
• Lethbridge Public Library will present the Fall Author Series, featuring Richard Van Camp, Oct. 8. Listen on as authors discuss their latest works, their writing process, and take the opportunity to ask them questions. All sessions will be hosted online via Zoom. Visit www.lethlib.ca to register.
• LSCO Thanksgiving Curbside Pickup Lunch will be held Oct. 9, featuring turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies and dessert for $10. Scheduled pickup time between 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at northeast door of LSCO (closest to the Administration Office), 500 11 St. S. Must pre-order no later than 3 p.m. the day before by calling 403-320-2222 (limit to first 75 orders). Payment with Visa or Mastercard at time of order or Debit, Visa or Mastercard at time of pickup. Cash accepted if necessary.
• Coaldale Public Library will host Messy Mornings Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30 from 11-11:30 a.m. for caregivers with their infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Pre-registration and masks are required for participants. Call 403-345-1340 to register. Share a story and engage in some messy fun and play!

• Italian Canadian Club’s “Pick Up An Italian” Thanksgiving Dinner will take place Oct. 11 with drive-thru pickup between 3 and 5 p.m. Pre-pay by Oct. 8. Menu: $17 individual meal or family of 4 pack $65. Pre-pay with cash, cheque or e-transfer to italianclub@hotmail.ca. • German Canadian Club of Lethbridge will present Oktoberfest Dinner and Dance Oct. 16-17 for members and invited guests ($35 per person). Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., dance with DJ Otto at 8 p.m. Menu: smoked pork hock, sausage, hot sauerkraut with onions, mashed potatoes, assorted flavours of shortcake. Catered by LA Chefs. • Lethbridge Artists Club has scheduled a day trip for a casual gathering of artists interested in painting, drawing, photographing of St. Henry’s Church near Twin Butte Oct. 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (map of directions available on website).
