MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

-

Orange is a rather rare colour among precious stones; nor is it common for female cats. That’s one of the reasons why we think of Tangie as a little gem. Now almost a year old, this girl was like a garnet, hidden in mud — that is, abandoned because someone didn’t know what value was inside. Like a jewel that has been polished with attention and care, Tangie has gained in confidence and personality. She sparkles with fun and energy. She loves rolling and running with her foster siblings, and shines as a mighty huntress when stalking moths or flies that may have found their way inside. But it’s with people that our jewel glows. Lying on or against a human is her favourite position — and at night, be careful: that little prop against your back is our Tangie, snuggled against you in bed. Playful and friendly, loving and entertaining: like a finely cut topaz, this girlcat has many facets. To discover them all, call PAW at 403-328-6700 or send an inquiry on our website at

pawsociety.com. Tangie is a find your family will treasure.

Aretha is a beautiful little girl who is very timid and keeps to herself. She loves toys, though, and plays when no one is looking! If you are interested in meeting Aretha, you can see her at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 16 Ave. N. or call 403-3208991). To view other Haven pets, go to

www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook.

Little Lady was abandoned in Picture Butte, currently in foster. She is doing better now and has seen the vet. About 12 weeks old, she will be available for adoption soon. Please visit us at

Snowflake and Polly are a bonded pair looking for a home together. Snowflake is a very friendly and affectionate neutered lop. He loves attention and is very patient with being handled. Polly is a shy, spayed female who will come around once she feels secure in her surroundings. Both bunnies are litter trained and have the potential to learn tricks and agility. For more information about

Snowflake and Polly, call Linda (403-381-9269) or

Sam (403-382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue. We are a small rescue with many special needs animals who require special food and/or medical care. Lately we have had a few emergencies and our vet bills are very high. We are in desperate need of donations to help pay them down. No amount is too small. Thank you so much to those individuals who have donated. We are also on Facebook.
