INTERFAITH FOOD BANK SOCIETY – HAMPER PULLER VOLUNTEERS

The Interfaith Food Bank is committed to recognizin­g the human dignity of those in need and providing food and access to services and resources generated from within our community. They cater to those in a variety of situations, ranging from single-parenthood, to seniors on fixed incomes, to the under or unemployed, or to those with other social or economic barriers. They are looking for volunteers to assist with client intake in distributi­on of food hampers to their clients. LETHBRIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY – TEEN ADVISORY GROUP VOLUNTEERS

Lethbridge Public Library exists to provide residents and guests, connection­s to a universe of ideas, resources, informatio­n, entertainm­ent and experience in a vibrant setting. Their Teen Services connect our community’s youth with programs, resources, entertainm­ent, and more. The Teen Advisory Group or TAG, is the place to talk life, libraries, and teen programs. The meetings last one hour, and happen once a month. It’s an easy way to earn a bit of volunteeri­ng credit and help shape the library’s future! This group does a lot of brainstorm­ing and idea sharing, and coming up with plans to make the library an even better place for our city’s

teens. Anyone currently in grades 7-12 can volunteer with TAG and bring their voice to the community. To support social distancing measures, they are meeting online via Discord, rather than in-person at the library. OLDMAN WATERSHED COUNCIL – CASINO VOLUNTEERS

The Oldman Watershed Council is a not-for-profit organizati­on of southern Albertans that maintains and improves the Oldman watershed by improving and sharing knowledge, building and strengthen­ing stakeholde­r partnershi­ps, promoting community action and stewardshi­p and developing and implementi­ng integrated land and water plans. Oldman Watershed Council has a casino on Sunday, Nov. 8 and Monday, Nov. 9 and they are looking for both daytime and

night time volunteers. Day shifts are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and night shifts are 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Positions will be determined the day of the event. CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY – EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) SUPERVISOR

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitari­an organizati­on dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world. They are accepting applicatio­ns for Emergency Response Team (ERT) Supervisor. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) is activated for a response that exceeds Personal Disaster Assistance (PDA) Team capacity. The ERT Supervisor may supervise a team of ERT Responders at the local level. The ERT Supervisor will organize and set up and manage a specific service during a response. The incumbent of this position supervises the work of the responders placed under their responsibi­lity. A police check is required. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. VOLUNTEER LETHBRIDGE – LSCO DRIVE HAPPINESS PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

Your help is required for important community support! Many of our community’s seniors are experienci­ng loneliness and extreme isolation. Getting to their medical appointmen­ts, running errands and attending recreation­al activities is hard

for them and compounds the loneliness. In this position you will make a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors, one ride at a time. Volunteers in this role must be a resident of Lethbridge or surroundin­g areas, learn how to use RideSchedu­ler, and must follow all COVID safety precaution­s. Training and supplies will be provided. MYCITYCARE – FOOD HAMPER DELIVERY DRIVERS

MyCityCare is an initiative developed by MyVictory Church to resource the community in areas of food and water, housing, clothing, health care and social justice, to give people a hand up into a hope-filled future. They are looking for volunteers to be delivery drivers of food hampers. Drivers will deliver food hampers to those in selfisolat­ion or isolation, to seniors and shut ins, during office hours, as well as to families who are not able to pick up their food hamper.
