Early morning fire damages Parkbridge home

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire at a Parkbridge Estates home along the 3200 Block of 29 Street South early Friday morning.

A call came in to 911 about 5:30 a.m. and fire crews from three stations responded with 20 firefighte­rs, while a fourth station was later dispatched with four additional firefighte­rs.

Upon arrival, crews found flames on the side of the residence and into the attic roof structure. With use of aerial apparatus and ground lines, the fire was brought under control and extinguish­ed within an hour.

Officials say there were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigat­ion.
