• Mindful Moments is offered every Saturday (except long weekends) from 11 a.m.-noon at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S., featuring a drop-in session based in Mindfulness teachings that combines a short talk with formal group meditation in silence. No experience is necessary. Facilitator: Cheryl Dick. Freewill offering accepted. Official income tax receipts available on request.
• Bold ‘n Brave, a local organization that inspires youth to be confident and learn life skills, is hosting a free familyfriendly scavenger hunt from Nov. 20-30. Register to get your first clue and details on how to get your name entered for prizes. Register online at boldnbrave.ca.
• Christmas at Casa Holiday Market is operating online this year, running from Nov. 20-Dec. 1 at the ChristmasatCasa.ca website, featuring more than 40 vendors offering handmade fine art and fine crafts. Depending on the vendor, there are options for local drop-off, shipping and safe curbside pickup at AAC Works on 7 Street S.
• Lethbridge Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous meets Mondays and Wednesdays. Details: Josephine, 587-425-3232.
• Lethbridge Sport Council’s Roving Gyms program operates Mondays from 9:30-11 a.m. at Servus Sports Centre and from 6-7:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, offering free, inclusive play spaces for children five and under and their parents or caregivers. • National Addictions Awareness Week Recovery Walk will be held Nov. 24 at 11 a.m., going from City Hall to Galt Gardens (show or shine). Come dressed for the weather. • The Lethbridge Historical Society annual general meeting will be held Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. The first part of the meeting will be the LHS AGM. Following the AGM, Beth Songer, a local architect, will present “New Perspectives for Forgotten Buildings.” Presentation part of the evening is open to the public via Zoom and will start at 7:30 p.m.

• Lethbridge Public Library presents The Word On The Street Fall Reading Series featuring Desmond Cole Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. online via Zoom. In his 2015 cover story for Toronto Life, Cole exposed the racist actions of the Toronto police force, detailing the dozens of times he had been stopped and interrogated under the controversial practice of carding. • Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre presents “Stroll Through Winter Wonderland” Nov. 30 from 1-3 p.m. at 1904 13 Ave. N. Cost $1 per person or free with a nonperishable item for the food bank. Featuring fresh apple cider, hot chocolate, Christmas music and decor. Come enjoy the festivities and socialize. Everyone welcome. COVID-19 restrictions in place. • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization will hold a Turkey Dinner Special Curbside Pickup Lunch Dec. 11. Cost: $10. Scheduled pickup time between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at northeast door of LSCO (closest to the Administration Office), 500 11 St. S. Must pre-order no later than 3 p.m. the day before by calling 403-320-2222 (limited to first 75 orders). • Martha Retreat Centre offers Exploring Forgiveness: One Day Silent Retreat Dec. 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Facilitator: Hailey Pinksen. Cost: $65 (lunch included). This one-day silent retreat explores forgiveness through meditation. We will explore forgiveness from the perspective of lovingkindness and curiosity while embracing the stillness of the moment.
