• Coaldale United Church Thrift Shop (2022 18 St.) is open each Thursday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., with the exception of being closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. Social distancing, sanitizing hands, and wearing a mask or face shield are required. Limit of 15 shoppers in the hall at one time. For now, the only children allowed will be those in carriers or strollers. Most adult and youth clothing at $2, children’s clothing at $1 and baby at 50 cents. Household miscellane­ous at reasonable prices. Cash only.

• Barons United Church Thrift Shop , at 113 Main St., Barons, is open, with opening days depending on health guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mondays Nov. 16-Dec. 28, 4:30-7:30 and every Saturday from Nov. 28-Dec. 19 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Closed Thursdays Dec. 24 and 31. Check out the great deals. • Mindful Moments is offered every Saturday (except long weekends) from 11 a.m.-noon at Martha Retreat Centre, 1130 Scenic Drive S., featuring a drop-in session based in Mindfulnes­s teachings that combines a short talk with formal group meditation in silence. • The Canadian Yoga Institute is conducting its Toys for Tots Campaign throughout December, offering three types of unlimited passes to CYI’s virtual yoga classes, in exchange for a donation to the local “Toys for Tots” drive. Lethbridge Public Library’s Read On Adult Literacy and Learning needs adult volunteers (18+) to tutor adult students.
