• The Chinook Society for Recovering Addicts, a not-for-profit registered society with charitable status, makes its renovated facility at 408 13 St. N. available as a meeting room space to 12-step groups as well as other groups or organizati­ons. Each of the three available rooms includes tables, chairs, commercial coffee maker and sink. There is a centrally located locker room for group supplies as well as central men’s and women’s washrooms. The facility has central HVAC, is smoke free and wheelchair accessible. • Lethbridge Public Library’s Read On Adult Literacy and Learning classes are now online. Read On offers oneon-one-tutoring and small classes to improve reading, writing, math, computer, listening and speaking skills. Registrati­on for winter programs in now open. • Coaldale United Church Thrift

Shop (2022 18 St.) is open each Thursday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Social distancing, sanitizing hands, and wearing a mask or face shield are required. Limit of 15 shoppers in the hall at one time. For now, the only children allowed will be those in carriers or strollers. Most adult and youth clothing at $2, children’s clothing at $1 and baby at 50 cents. Household miscellane­ous at reasonable prices. Cash only.

• Nord-bridge Seniors Centre is hosting Let’s Do $8 Lunch every Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Pickup or delivery only. Pre-ordering by calling 403-329-3222 or ordering online while quantities last. On Feb. 9, the centre is hosting a Chinese New Year Lunch Special.

Orders are now being taken for veal cutlets on Feb. 26 from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. Price is $11 and includes dessert. Pre-order starting Feb. 15 by calling 403-329-3222. Limited quantities available, no more than eight meals per order.
