Douglas Furbanks fits his name: a cat of action, a swashbuckler, a carefree adventurer, Zorro, Robin Hood and D'Artagnan, all in one. Well, all right, this five and a half year old black-and-white fellow with the striped nose isn’t there yet. But he has all these heroes – and more – in his heart. The will is there but the setting isn’t. You see, Douglas knows he can be the cat of everyone’s desire, but he’s being tormented by other cats in his foster-home. This is unavoidable sometimes, but nonetheless has led to Douglas’s life being less enjoyable than it could be. He enjoys people and would love to be an only cat, where he can be his true self, and love his person without looking over his shoulder. You can tell from this description that Douglas has a quiet, gentle nature. He just needs a home of his own where he can show all the other things he is: happy and fun, playful and cheery – just like his human namesake, the oldtime film star. To learn more about Douglas Furbanks, call the PAW Society at 430-328-6700 or visit pawsociety.com. Douglas is looking for a hero, so he can be one, too.

Aretha is a beautiful little girl who is very timid and keeps to herself. She loves toys though, and plays when no one is looking!
