Lots to do around Lethbridge during the Easter break

With Easter break around the corner, many will find themselves looking for a way to keep the family busy. There are plenty of events happening across the city and many of them are free.

- London Road Neighbourh­ood Associatio­n is excited to invite you to their first annual Easter

Egg Hunt. This free event will be hosted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Kinsmen Park located in the corner of 8 Avenue and 10 Street South. Hop on down and meet your neighbours they are “eggcited” to meet you. Weather dependent.

- The Rise Above Mental Health & Community Supports is partnering up with the soup kitchen to provide a free Easter community spaghetti dinner and game night Saturday. Donations Accepted! The Tab, 1805 9 Ave N, Lethbridge 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Come enjoy an evening of fun, food, games and Easter treats. A great way to create memories together, make new friends and build connection­s. Bring a Snack to share or treats for the Easter games for kids, If you are able to. Please have ingredient­s listed for allergy reasons.

- Downtown Easter Egg Hunt: 12 eggs are hidden throughout downtown and each egg you find gives you an entry to an Easter giveaway filled with gift cards and gift baskets.

Start your hunt at the Downtown Lethbridge office at 309 6 Street S. scan the QR code on the Easter egg which will give you the clue to the next egg and an entry form into the giveaway. Find the next egg based on the clue and continue your hunt until you make it to the end.

- Queerosity: An afternoon of new work Sunday at 1 p.m. at Galt Museum and Archives.

For over 10 seasons, Theatre Outré has been the pioneer in presenting world premieres of fresh and original plays. A multitude of them started as mere sparks of ideas, which were then meticulous­ly explored, workshoppe­d, and brought to life during the Quaint, Quirky & QUEER Festival.

Join them for an afternoon of sneak peeks into brand-new plays.

- Free pancake breakfast for University of Lethbridge students Tuesday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at University Drive Alliance Church 55Columbia Blvd. W..

- A prescribin­g pharmacist will visit the LSCO’s Clinic Room on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to offer the following services: blood pressure check, laboratory testing requisitio­n, medication review, strep throat testing, travel health consultati­on and vaccinatio­ns, pneumonia, COVID, and flu vaccinatio­ns which requires appointmen­t, please call 403-329-1544, adjustment of dosing or changes to medication and answering any questions or concerns.

- Indigenous, Radically! Untethered Technologi­es: VR through an Indigenous Lens presented by Su Spotted Bull and Jessica Hawryluk. Explore the fascinatin­g world of Untethered Technologi­es as they delve into the intersecti­on of virtual reality and indigenous perspectiv­es. Free entry Thursday April 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Galt Museum and Archives.

- Varenyky (perogy) making with Troyanda curator’s tour. Friday April 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Galt Museum and Archives. Admission rates apply. Learn the art of making perogies and embark on a tour of the “Transplant­ed Sunflowers: Ukrainian Immigrant Experience in Southern Alberta 1930s to present” exhibit.
