Several businesses pitched in on 2017 Kinsmen Home Lotto
If it takes a village to raise a child, then it takes a business community to build a house.
More than two dozen local contractors or supply firms offered free or discounted services toward this year’s Kinsmen Home Lotto, according to the service group.
The house, at 59 Sierra Road, is valued at $500,000 and opens today for public viewing and on-site ticket sales.
Bravada homes was the lead contractor, with foundation work and supplies provided by Inland Concrete, foundation Summit Wall Systems and Beaver Plastics - Logix. Site work was done by Gas City Hydro Vac and Steep Rock.
Construction subcontractors and suppliers were Ike’s Construction (framing); Timber-Tech Truss; Trademark Roofing; Ply gem (windows) and Southern Door; Affinity Plumbing and Gasfitting; Baumann’s Ventilation; Twin Electric; Shackleton Exteriors; Jake’s Drywall; and Waste Watchers.
Finishing and furnishing supplies provided by The Garage Organizer (floor), Cloverdale Paint and Dutch Bros. Painting; Bert’s Vacuums (central vac); the Kitchen Gallery and Jade Stone (counters); Budget Blinds and Carpet One.
Furniture and appliances are complements of Leon’s Furniture in Medicine Hat.
The City of Medicine Hat’s land department provided a discounted lot. Cameron J. Kemp Law Office provided legal services.
